The last time I did a quick run for a new discovery was when Barrio Fiesta was about to open last February 2017. As soon as they made an announcement on their facebook page the night before, I immediately rushed to their store at 9 o’clock in the evening with hopes that I had the exact location right. Luckily, I got it, took some photos, posted it on my page and boom, it was an instant hit! People got crazy that a known Filipino restaurant is about to open their doors in Qatar. Been looking for the same excitement again, when something new comes up and I will get up from bed hoping to get the freshest… another viral-type material. Though kidding aside, it shouldn’t have to be viral, so long as it provides information to my readers. It’s just me… always wanting to be the early bird… the first to know before others. ‘World’s first’ LaLiga Lounge opens this year in Doha
In an earlier report from Gulf Times, it was said that: “Katara Hospitality, the leading hotel owner, developer and operator based in Qatar, announced its partnership with Spanish football league LaLiga, the sport’s “most popular” domestic league competition, to launch what will be THE WORLD’S FIRST LA LIGA LOUNGE at Hotel Park, a public family-friendly park situated in the heart of Doha’s bustling business district.”
“The new sports lounge, expected to open by mid-2017, will feature various facilities and amenities including big-screen televisions that will broadcast live coverage of matches, an official league shop, and the first themed restaurant for sports fans in Doha. ..
…It will also be a place where fans of LaLiga can meet to enjoy the best matches in the world with excellent food”. – Gulf Times
La Liga Lounge Grand Opening on September 27
La Liga Lounge is set to open on September 27, 2017 while an open air bazaar (similar to the [previous Qatar International Food Festival) will happen simultaneously starting the 28th of September. It is a timely event set to welcome families into an outdoor food extravaganza when the weather is much cooler compared to the earlier weekends. (Programs and dates may change and any updates will be posted here immediately).
We visited the lounge on one of their pre-opening nights and we appreciate the accommodation extended by their staffs.
Visitors may also come and have a look at the facility but no food will be served until their Grand Opening. They are open for viewing from 5pm to 11pm daily and you may also follow their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/laligaloungedoha/ for more future updates.
