Early mornings, long lines, people from different places, they are all lined up at the barangay hall of Magallanes (Makati) for their Qatar visa stamping. Some said they were already there since late evening of the other day since they are coming from the provinces. And since the acceptance of application is only from 8:30am – 11:00am (if I remember it right), they’d rather come early than loose the chance. I even have a friend who frequently visits Qatar saying he’d usually go to the barangay hall to enlist at around 10pm and come back 6am the next day (very cunning, or was it a smart move?).
But when you come, a list of names will be passed on to you until you hand it over to the one who will arrive next. And when the time comes that the embassy opens, some volunteers would just initiate to ask everyone to fall in line as per their number until they reach, marching on, from the barangay hall to the back entrance of the embassy. It’s a fun experience though – when you see all these things happen.
The other requirement is that you have to pay via a VISA card that is under the bearer’s name (just like in all government offices in Qatar – NO CASH PAYMENT). The processing fee to be debited from the card is about Php350 only. Otherwise, those who have no card will have to run, as fast as they can, to the nearest LBC Express in Evangelista, Pasay City for an express Visa Debit Card.
However, this will not be the case now. Families of OFWs in Qatar will have an easier way to go about their visa stamping in Manila since Wide Wide World Express Corporation (WWWExpress) formerly known as DHL Philippines is now accepting the requirements. Processing takes approximately 3-4 days and will be delivered straight to your home address. Processing fee is around P750.
I happened to be unaware of these changes when I processed my son’s visa stamping last April 2016. To my surprise, no one was in the barangay hall and not even a guard was at the embassy gate. I thought I overheard it somewhere on my way for my vacation but the idea did not sink in well in me. So I was there, only to find out from the postings on the wall that the change has already been implemented.
For Personal/ Business/ Visit/ Tourist/ Family Personal Visas:
- Visa notice – printout from MOI website
- Valid Original Passport more than 6 months
- Letter of Invitation from the Sponsor or copy (NOT REQUIRED)
- 2-pcs. 2×2 size pictures with white background. Photo must be clear, sharp and in focus, also it must show both edges on the face clearly and photos must show a full front view of face and shoulders. – some DHL offices would already screen the photos as some of the applications are delayed since photos are not acceptable. Basic requirement is that hair for the ladies must be pulled back, and the head would pass the size requirement (as in US Visa). Upon submission of another photo that another 3-4 days count will start. So be sure that there is ample time before the flight.
Special note also when expecting a WWWExpress delivery, make sure to have someone to receive it from your delivery address since they will not leave it to other people (passport delivery is stricter unlike the regular deliveries). But just like the usual courier delivery procedure, they cannot tell the exact time of delivery but it will definitely be within the office hours. Just be patient for when they said they’ll deliver, they will do so. Otherwise, you can always make a follow-up call from their call center number.

how long does it take for the stamping at the Qatar Embassy for a Working Visa?

Hi! We are trying to do this procedure twice already through DHL but they they don’t accept without the letter of invitation.
We are coming to Doha as Tourists under Hotel Visa and the Hotel can only provide the Reservation Confirmation. Isnt that supposed to be enough supporting document?
Then if its already twice and they require the Letter of Invitation, then i guess you just have to request one from the company/hotel who provided your tourist visa. As per my last inquiry with DHL, it was not required but the embassy could also require additional documents depending on their review of the submitted papers. Sunod nalang po tayo mam para mastamp agad and makapunta kayo agad dito.

Hello Ms Karoline, i can vouch for my experience, it only took 3 days only. We were not in the house when they delivered it so it took 4 days. But it may take long if there are problems in the documents so i suggest you follow whats written at the DHL office to avoid further delay. Sorry for the late reply. Was in the office earlier. Im applying work at doha aug. palang my visa na ako sabi sa agency stamping na daw then until now wala pa papers ko e matagal na napadala via dhl. I was reading all the convo and says 3-5 working days lang. Now I’m confious I’m 4 months waiting for my papers
Hello mam, i understand your concern. Though im not sure what or where exactly is the problem. But you have to check with the agency if the work/offer still stands. If the company in Qatar is keen on getting you, it shouldnt take that long. But some agencies might be having problems with cancelled jon orders or changing manpower requirement which they dint usually tell their applicants esp if all papers and payments are done. Not sure though, but it is best to ask your agency. DHL on the otherhand should notify if there are problems in your documents that caused delays. You can even ask for the tracking number so you can inquire from DHL directly. I work im admin here so i am also familiar with recruitment procedures and we can easily take people from the Philippines if we wish to. So its best to ask you agency of the truth. Yes i believe the invitation letter should come from the company who issued the tourist visa and the process is the same for manila or province but the procedure “might” take longer for provincial so make sure to allot more time. Sir yung affidavit of support po usually nakukuha sya sa Philippine Embassy sa Qatar. Me form po silang form na fifill-upan at me stamp po nila pag release QAR100 po ata pagkakaalala ko.

To be sure po pa translate nyo nalang po. Meron naman po available na translator sa National/Musheireb… para hindi po kau mahirapan magpabalik balik sa embassy. sorry po i got confused kanina kung anu yung naka-arabic. If its the salary certificate, usually the amount naman is numeric pero much better pa rin if you can have it translated ahead.

As per experience sir, Inemail ko lang sa brother ko yung affidavit of support nung sya naman ang pumunta dito sa Qatar. Actually on his case, hindi nga hinanap. So its actually a supporting documents na if in case hanapin ay pwede mo ipakita. Tingin ko ok lang ang email then print mo na rin ang email copy at siguro if pwede iprint then sana yung email shoring the contact number of your sponsor. And pray that everything will be in order, dahil minsan pinrepare mo lahat pero wala naman actually hahanapin. Just always remember na as tourist you just have the proof of residency in Manila (yung babalik ka pa at hindi mag wowork abroad). Opo Sir. Since back to square one na naman po tayo and the point of origin is Manila. No need for visa stamping if coming from other countries like exit from UAE (its basically Philippine immigration policy, i think). You can check out the nearest WWWExpress in your place and submit all docuemnts to them. They will process it accordingly.

Yung affidavit of support is not required by the Qatar Embassy in Manila… its usually asked at the immigration of NAIA. So better be ready to avoid any further inconveniences. They usually do it in random so its difficult to be caught offguard.

Alam ko po hindi naman kasi wwwexpress dhl lang naman po un so long as dala mo lahat ng documents including original passport. But for your piece of mind you can probably write a small note for their reference (parang authorization mo na rin with your ID).

But as a general rule, ang kailangan po for visa application is birth certificate depende rin po sa type ng visa. If tourist visa BC lang po need pero pag family or visit visa may additional docs pa pong kailangan. But with regards the gender, i think you have to consult a lawyer or you can email me baka po me masuggest akong pwedeng nyong makausap.

Sir as per experience po namin sa family visa, wala naman po hingi na medical. What you can do po is to check it with wwwexpress (they might have changed the policy already). Pero ang alam ko po wala. Malalaman natin ang exact na status when we submit the documents to them. Meron na rin naginquire sa akin nyan about medical and hindi na nila ako binalikan… so it would be nice to get updates too if humihingi na ba sila since as per our experience before, wala po.

Yes po kailangan and as asked several times already, theres no alternative than to really apply for stamping via wwwexpress. Its quite surprising na marami pa rin po ang di aware na need ito at kahit po nakabook na tau ng flights… wala pp talagang lusot sa immigration natin. My suggestion is to go straight to straight to wwwexpress and request for priority 3 days minsan kaya. Then you can try to rebook your flight po.

Im afraid baka sa immigration palang natin di ka na payagan esp tourist visa po ang hawak ninyo. Pero bilangin nyo po muna yung dates if more than 6 months pa po sya (since you have not provided dates). Otherwise po, baka need nyo po muna magparenew para di kayo magkaproblem. Hope this helps.

Business visa should be stamped at wwwexpress po. Wala na po pede magdirect sa qatar embassy. Checkout the blog for the requirements and procedures.

Im assuming that you will travel using tourist visa. Let me inform you that while securing the stamp from Qatar Embassy may be easy, you might just find it a bit challenging in our immigration – as they might ask for some documents. But to answer some of your questions, the visa requirement is printable from the MOI website which should be given to you by the hotel who will provide you the visa (it has bar codes) and i think sample is in the blog. Definitely the stamp will be placed in the original passport and your hotel should issue an invitation letter (if required). Pwede pong isa lang magasikaso for all applications and you may go straight to wwwexpress office with complete docuembnts. You may revisit the blog for the requirements and procedures. Sino po ba nagissue ng visa? Is it tourist visa po from hotel? If so, let the hotel send you the visa copy alam na po nila yun then invitation letter for all of you po.

question regarding Visa stamping for work visa in qatar. NBI certificate po ba is mandatory for all to be DFA authenticated regardless of work/position… kasi sa documents po required lang pa-Authenticate ung mga professionals with PRC License. Kahit po ba mga sales lady sa retail need to have their NBI autheticated by DFA?

Pag ka family member wala naman po usually. Magdala nalang po sya ng marriage contract tapos po affidavit of support. Kinukuha po yun sa embassy. Minsan po kasi hinahanap minsan naman po hindi…

Hello po, pa guide naman po, family visit visa po kami ng anak ko 4yrs old under sa mother ko, this coming april 5 magbabakasyon ang mag ina ko sa pinas, may RP na yung asawa ko ditto sa Qatar while yung anak ko visit visa parin sa mother ko, plano naming ireapply na lang yung anak ko ng family visit visa pag balik nila dito, need pa po ba ng visa stamping sa Qatar embassy sa manila ulit? at ano pa po ang kailangan gawin at ayusin mga documents, salamat po.
Last time po nag exit ang anak ko sa Dubai then nagapply po kami ng panibagong Visit Visa. Few months pagkabalik po nya ng Qatar, nagbakasyon po kami sa Pinas (yung mandup inaapplyan po sya ng re-entry visa) tapos nakauwi at nakabalik ulti kami sa Qatar. Pero opo kinailangan nya ipatatak yung new Visa kasi po nasecure yung visa outside of the Philippines. Same procedure po idadaan ulit sa WWWExpress just like the procedure for new visa stamping. #justsharing
