Last October 2015, The Rice Room opened at the Food Court of then newly opened Gulf Mall in Al Garaffa area. They are the first restaurant to offer Vietnamese cuisines in Qatar. Due to the growing popularity of Vietnamese food not only to the local but also to the expat community, they were able to penetrate the food court market by offering affordable, freshly cooked, authentic cuisines.
Though some of the food on their menu combine very minor elements of different culinary traditions like that of China and Indonesia, we wanted to try something that most of their Vietnamese customers usually order. The counter staff suggested Beef Vermicelli Noodles and Grilled Lemon Grass Chicken.
Their servings are quite generous and could be good for sharing, while their take away packaging is nice and presentable.
They offer a wide selection foods; from their signature pho dishes, spring rolls, rice-based main courses, noodle-based specialities and a lot more. They were even offering very affordable combo meals, ideal for those who are looking for budget-friendly meals.
So the next time you crave for something Vietnamese, you know that there’s one at the mall’s food court and another one who’s ready to take it right into your own home.
