Part of #bestlifeqatarinPH’s itinerary during our #vacation2017 is to explore new and exciting places in the Philippines which include hotels, tourists spots, and food places that returning Overseas Filipinos (OF’s) or other expats from Qatar wanting to travel to the country could try.
One of our top recommendations is to spend a weekend staycation or stopover at Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang before heading to your next destination. Ideally located in Madrigal Business Park opposite Molito Mall and Alabang Town Center, this three year-old boutique hotel is only around 20-30 minutes away from NAIA International Airport in Manila.
For those who are traveling to other places in the South or to other provinces, a stay at Azumi is perfect since an airport pickup can be arranged by the hotel for a minimal fee. Those who are staying in Alabang or nearby areas like Paranaque, Las Pinas, Cavite or even Quezon City and Manila may now finally discover this hidden gem in Alabang for just a little over 4,000 pesos (QR315/night for 2 with breakfast).
These are some of things that makes AZUMI BOUTIQUE HOTEL unique:
As a 3-star hotel it is really surprising that Azumi Boutique Hotel have an infinity pool at the rooftop (17/F). This, i think, is the most photographed spot of the hotel judging from the instagram posts by many of its guests, mostly millennials. It has a great view overlooking Makati and Laguna de Bay on the north side as well as Alabang Business District up to the mountain side of Laguna in the South. This is definitely a refreshing panorama during the day which turns chic and romantic when all the lights are up during the night.
There is also a function hall and a mini-bar at the roof deck where you can also have access to your favorite refreshments or simply lounge while watching the sunset on the west side of the hotel. Get ready with your cameras since you don’t want to miss any of these spots.
Azumi Boutique Hotel is stylish and environment friendly. Their infinity pool uses salt water which, according to one of the hotel staff, is good for the skin. I checked some website to look for information and it says that, “salt water systems certainly have advantages over chlorine in many respects… it is gentle on eyes and skin, safer than chlorine, and has a soft water feel – smooth and silky to the touch like rain water”. As we tried to open our eyes underwater, we felt that it’s much tolerable compared to doing it on a chlorine-based pool.
Additionally, a wall frame at every floors highlighting their use of INAX-ECOCARAT “Breathing Tiles” are also noticeable. ECOCARAT controls humidity, reduces foul odor, and absorbs harmful substances creating a more comfortable and safe indoor environment.
HOMEY AMBIANCE / DISTINCTLY FILIPINO
I felt that everything about our experience at Azumi Boutique Hotel is great. From the hotel lobby, the restaurant that serves Filipino foods, a nail spa, and most especially, their rooms will just make you feel at home.
Upon entering the hotel, you’ll see that each corner is ideal for that “instagrammable” selfie pose. A visit to the iconic Romulo Café gives you an authentic Filipino gustatory experience with a side of Philippine history. Also located at the lobby is a nail spa for that much needed relaxation. But the most impressive part is their simple yet very comfortable rooms with choices from queen, double queen, king, to garden rooms – you’ll enjoy it just by simply lying flat on your back. Lastly, there are parking levels for cars to complete the worry-free experience.
IDEAL FOR SHORT OR LONG STAY
Aside from the comfort that their soft beds and fresh linens provide, some of their room’s distinct features include a small kitchen counter with wash bin, a standard sized fridge (not a mini-ref), and a microwave oven that’s usually not available in many hotels. Celebrating a special occasion or simply staying over night while heating some food and enjoying cold drinks will be ideal.
We also came to know that they accommodate long-term stays and this is perfect for those who are going on a business trip and want to stay close to the business centers and to several leisure activities in the South (for inquiries, please email the Sales Department at sales.azumi.ph).
My mother-in-law specifically told me that what she liked about the hotel is their friendly and attentive staff, and i couldn’t agree more. Aside from the stand-out services provided by their employees, a shuttle service to bring guests to several malls in Alabang is simply very “Filipino” when you want to ensure maximum enjoyment of your guests. Checkout the counter for schedules and destinations of their shuttle service.
We are sharing the experience!
