PIDC 2017 PRIMER: Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Doha, Qatar

The Filipino community in Qatar will be celebrating the 119th Philippine Independence Day on June 26-28 at the City Center Rotana Doha. In the observance of the holy month of Ramadan this year, the organizing committee decided to delay the celebration which is usually held during the week of June 12.

This edition of PIDC is expected to be even more festive and colorful as we’ve seen teasers of some of the new additions to the previous programs.

A SHOWCASE FOR DOHA-BASED FILIPINO FASHION DESIGNERS. Consistent on their contributions during the past Filipino events in Qatar, the Filipino Fashion Designers of Qatar will once again wow the world with their creative designs. A Doha-based fashion designer is assigned to make a special wardrobe for each candidate in the competition. So expect a colorful display of Filipino masterpieces, intricate designs which will reflect our rich culture and traditions, and world class Filipino talents that we can really be proud of.

We will be keep further details in suspense until the actual pageant. The Talent Presentation will be held on June 27 (4:30PM) while the Coronation Night will be on June 28 (1:00PM).
