Some place really stays the same. In a rather familiar spot, it’s always nice to have a place where you always feel at ease. A familiar place with a new and exciting brunch offer… and that’s our foodie destination for the weekend.
RADISSON BLU DOHA. Our last event in this hotel was a birthday party held in one of their function halls where we were particularly impressed with the banquet setup as well the quality of food… and I was told even their packages are really attractive.
THIS WEEKEND, we were invited to try their FRIDAY BRUNCH at the Hyde Park Coffee Shop. While it may sound like a café, but it is actually the main restaurant of the hotel. A classic looking place but with a nice garden view and access to the hotel’s pool area.
A nice welcome right when we entered the restaurant made us feel special. We were given a quick tour of the food station and the spread was so huge it was all around the hall.
A HUGE BUFFET
The long line starts with a live dessert station where a pastry chef prepares some flavorful sweets alongside with the fresh fruit chocolate fondue. Then the buffet regulars (rice, potatoes, veggies etc). The pasta section comes next where your favorites can be cooked as per your preference. And the stars of the brunch, a big selection of carvery – from rib eye, beef chuck, beef wellington, to roast beef. The fresh salad, bread and cheese station stand glamorously in the middle of the hall, while another long line of sweet confectionery was on the rear end together with the juices and cocktail station.
It was definitely an overwhelming buffet and serves as a perfect Friday brunch place for all kinds of celebrations. There was even a live entertainment who plays soothing music to match the romantic ambiance.
A FAMILY FRIENDLY BRUNCH EVENT
Radisson Blu Doha did not stop from just providing an array of mouthwatering dishes but they also made sure that the little kids will also enjoy the day. There were play stations and activity areas where kids can be left alone to mingle and enjoy. It was also surprising to see one of their chefs doing the face painting for the kids as well as a BARNEY mascot who also handed over free dolls to all the little girls.
