When i was still starting to blog, I decided to write a post about one of the very important concerns of Filipino families and workers going to Qatar – VISA STAMPING. It was so popular that it is to date the article with the most view in all of my 190 blog posts. It is also one of the most discussed post with almost the same questions over and over again via the blog, facebook, email and even sms up to now.
New Procedures for Visa Stamping at Qatar Embassy in Manila Posted on May 30, 2016 by BEST LIFE QATAR by Zeke Tunay
Though I specifically mentioned that it was an “based on my personal experience”, many would still ask about other visa categories, invitation letter for “tourist visa” holder, or if I am a staff of Qatar Embassy, or if I can help them find a job.
What are my Realizations?
- There’s nothing more fulfilling than to help someone. I once was in a situation where I couldn’t even find any updated, highly responsive online post about this subject. Until lately that there has been several other bloggers who also wrote about the same concern.
- While most of the inquirers would ask the same questions/same situations over and over again, I also felt that I was their only source… and that really prompted me to reply to them as if putting myself on their situations.
- Some information needs to be updated.
What are the updates?
Basically, the only update is that WExpress updated their website. Wide Wide World Express Corporation (or WExpress and formerly known as DHL Philippines) still handles the Qatar Visa Stamping in the Philippines. They serve customers all over the country through their numerous WExpress branches scattered from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao area. No stamping is done at the Qatar Embassy office.
Previously, they have a specific page for QATAR VISA STAMPING but they have now removed it on their new website. That explains why the link on my previous blog is broken.
What (again) are the requirements for Qatar Visa Stamping?
FAMILY / PERSONAL VISA (Php350 Visa Fee + Php385 Service Fee = Php 735)
- Visa Notice – printable copy from MOI website (with barcode)
- Original Passport – not less than 6 months valid
- 2 pcs 2 x 2 photo with white background (standard requirement for visa photo)
FAMILY / YEARLY VISA (Php 735)
- Visa Notice – printable copy from MOI website (with barcode)
- Original Passport – not less than 6 months valid
- 2 pcs 2 x 2 photo with white background (standard requirement for visa photo)
- Medical Certificate (from accredited clinics or hospitals – please call WExpress office near you for list the accredited clinics close to you).
BUSINESS / TOURIST VISA (Php 735)
- Visa Notice – printable copy from MOI website (with barcode)
- Original Passport – with not less than 6 months validity
- 2 pcs 2 x 2 photo with white background (standard requirement for visa photo
- Invitation Letter from the Sponsor
WORK VISA (Php 2,485)
- Visa Notice – printable copy from MOI website (with barcode)
- Original Passport – not less than 6 months valid
- 2 pcs 2 x 2 photo with white background (standard requirement for visa photo)
- Medical Certificate (from accredited clinics or hospitals – please call WExpress office near you for list the accredited clinics close to you).
- NBI Clearance (DFA Authenticated with thumb print FOR TRAVEL ABROAD – 1 year validity)
Things to remember:
- Processing will take around 4 working days (no special/rush processing)
- Accepts only cash
- Follow-up can be done online or by calling the branch.
Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions on the previous blog:
- Visa stamping may be submitted by immediate family members only. They only need ID copy of the representative and all the required documents listed above.
- An infant still needs to provide a 2 x 2 picture the same way for his/her passport.
- WExpress / Qatar Embassy will not accept Medical Certificate from non-accredited clinic / hospital. (see above list)
- Passport with less than or exactly 6 months validity will not be accepted for visa stamping.
- DHL branch will not accept documents for Qatar Visa Stamping.
- Qatar Embassy in Makati will not accommodate visa stamping.
- You can’t request to speed up the process of stamping even if the ticket has been purchased.
- No need for visa stamping if you are coming from other countries (outside of the Philippines).
- WExpress will not accept credit card for payment.
- Best Life Qatar is not affiliated with Qatar Embassy in Manila or with WExpress.
The above information is self-explanatory but i know that there will still be new situations that could develop anytime (subject to change without prior notice). So, it is really advisable to contact WExpress for detail confirmation before the proceeding with the application. Please feel free to comment down below if you have questions or other information.

Nung nagpunta po kasi ako sa DHL/ WExpress ang sabi po sakin need po ng medical pag family yearly visit visa. Wala daw family visit visa. Family personal lang daw po and family resident.
Anu po ba hawak nyong Visa. Pag family visit (family personal) po na 6 mos wala na po kailangan pero pag RP (family yearly) need po.

Just to clarify Item no.8 No need for visa stamping if you are coming from other countries (outside of the Philippines).
Right now andito ako sa Qatar as family personal visa(extended) will expire on June 2018. Plano namin ng asawa ko is re apply ulit ng new family personal visa effective na yun new passport number ko(due to change of Marital Status) Like a fresh application ulit this time.
But the application process will take place while I’m still here. We’re planning to exit kahit from France and then back to Qatar. Do you think I need a Visa Stamping again dyan sa PH?

Question po newly wed po kasi ako ifamily visit visa po kasi ako ng husband ko. Okay lang po ba yung passport ko hndi ko pa po nachange yung surname ko kakarenew lang kasi last yr. Hindi po ba magkakaproblema sa visa stamping yun and yung marriage cert po namin yung galing pa lang sa city hall kasi wala pa sa psa kaya hndi pa ako makakuha ng psa copy.

First po depende po kasi kung anu po ang iaapply na visa sa inyo ng husband nyo. Kasi whatever po yung name sa visa yun lang din po ang isastamp sa passport natin. So kindly check with your husband if family personal (6mos) or family visit (residence) na po ang iaapply sa inyo. Kasi dun lang din po magbebase yung stamping. I believe family visa 6 mos muna kau kasi ok lang naman magkaiba ang apelyido kasi understood na di pa machechange yung surnames… lagi lang dala yung marriage contract. Otherwise his PRO/mandup can also give u advise on whats best po. Hope this help.

Hindi naman po. Kasi me marriage contract naman kau. Kung brother or sister or parents yan minsan hinihingi… pero actually po it varies kaya ung iba kumukuha nalang para sure.

Thanks for the kind words. Usually po within 6 months magamit dapat. Although ung validity nakalagay din sa visa on or before that date dapat nakapasok na sa QATAR.

The requirements are already in the blogpost. Yes, any Qatari can give invitation letter provided it is in English and printed on a company letter head. Otherwise you can also consult a travel agency of this. Thank you!
Kabayan, lahat ba ng visa kailangan ng stamp ng embassy including kids? May 5 year visa kasi ako for my 7 year old daughter and flight na namin in a few days. Do I have to get her visa stamped sa passport? And if yes, does she need medical too? Sabi kasi ng kakilala ko who also brought his kids to Qatar, visa stamping is not required na. Please help. To be honest, we need more information in order to answer your question po. What do you mean 5 year visa (resident visa po ba)? If you read the post there are only 4 classifications of visa po. So pls checm which one applies to you. If galing po kau ng pinas dapat po visa is stamped in thw passport as.per phil immigration and Qatar immigration rule po. If you know other way, pls let us know.so we can update as well. Pag di galing ng pinas… thats the time i know di na kailangan ng stamping but the procedure of visa application may be different. Pls go through the blog post and i advise you to go to WWWEXPRESS office to help you as well. Hope this help po.
All type of Qatar visa must be stamped on passport. That is a basic requirement by PH immigration (onl-in-d-Phils po yan). If you are originating from other country then no need for the stamping.

Sir just would like to ask, i am currently in KSA with my family and i received a job offer in Qatar. They will issue me work visa. Trouble is i have to settle my family first in the Philippines and and hence i would have to come from the Philippines before flying to work in Doha.
But using your #8 FAQ, can i go as tourist say SG or HK then Qatar to avoid the stamping and red tape of POEA processing? For #8 above how is the process?

Hi Mark,
If you need to go back to PH for your family matter, it would be tedious process to leave PH on a work visa (given by Qatar Employer). Just make sure that before you decide on your big move especially for your family, you must have the visa on hand. Offer letter wont guarantee you anything. Once you have the visa and family is settled, the back door process (thru any Asian country then to Qatar) will ease your way.

Sorry po sa late reply medyo busy this weekend. Ung visa Validity po ay hanggang kelan kau dapat makapasok. Tama po dapat before July 24 andito na po kau sa Qatar. You should be able to enter Qatar before the validity of the TOURIST/FAMILY VISA. Yung 1-month stay validity po starts upon entry po.

Usually hinahanap po sa immigration is your passport and visa. If me question po sila sa docs tsaka po sila naghahanap ng suppprting documents. In your case po na family visa po kau dapat po sa lahat ng docs same apelyido po. If me dala kau kahit copy ng birth cert nyo ng siater nyo ok na po yan in case hanapin. Minsan naghahanap din sila ng affifsvit of support. Minsan naman hindi. Ang impt na maestabl8sh is babalil kau sa pinas like work, company ID, leave form ganyan po… email me sa bestlifeqatar@gmail.com if me question pa po kau.

Hello po. Try nyo po sila tawagan para malaman nyo po yung reason for delay. Madami pong pwedeng reason… and if til now wala pa po kaung reply, baka po dahil mag-e-EID holiday or baka po me problem sa application/job order. Better po macheck nyo. And visa stamping po kasi usually 4-7 days lang.

Sa immigration sa Pinas usually po proof lang na babalik kau ng Pinas at hindi magwowork dito. Sa immigration ng Qatar, hahanapan lang po kau ng visa sa Qatar. Yan lang naman po usually hinihingi… sensya na po sa late reply. natabunan po yung mga ibang questions kala ko nasagot ko na.

Thanks for your reply Mr. Zeke Tunay. Ibig sabihin lang po ang 3 months na duration is doon sa Qatar. Ang boong akala ko po ay from the date na ma stamped ang visa sa passport dito sa Pinas which is May 23, 2018 we have to count for 3 months or 90 days, in which this August 23, 2018 is the 3 months duration and we presumed na on or before Agust 23 dapat makaalis siya. If not, it is expired already and we have to request for another visa stamping. Thanks for the info. So, my husband still have ample time to work on the oec with the POEA. Salamat po ng marami.

Hello po. Regarding offloading madami pong reason para maoffload. Kung business or tourist visa kau pero obvious na mgwowork kau kasi wala kaung proof na babalik kau sa pinas like a permanent work, or business or old company ID… or inconplete docs like invitation letters or mistakes sa visa like name inconsistencies… so madami po. Sa visa stamping naman po basta nasunod nyo lahat at sinubmit ang requirements… wala kaung problema. Ang alam kong usual problem sa visa stamping is name magkaiba sa passport or ung photo hindi po pasok sa size or standard. These are all based on experience po

Hiningian pa rin kasi ang daughter niya ng invitation letter from the sponsor kahit na yung visa notice ay family visit visa (under his sponsorship) for 1 month. Nagtaka lang ako kasi yung sa sister at anak ko di naman sila hiningian long time ago ng invitation letter from me as a sponsor under family visit. Anyway, sabi ko icomply na lang niya para walang problema. Meron po kayong reference kung ano ang format ng invitation letter at kung kailangan may naka attach pa dito. May mga na download siya na invitation letter (US, Australia, etc) kaso masyado madaming attachments. He just need to do it right para successful process ng daughter niya na ipasyal nya sa Qatar. Ang sponsor ng colleague ko ay yung company namin. Tama po na nakaissue na ng family visit visa sa daughter nya. Nung pumunta ang daughter nya sa WExpress Cebu branch para sa visa stamping kulang ang requirements daw niya kasi needed daw ng invitation letter from the sponsor (her father as the sponsor). Nung pinakita ng daughter nya yung requirements (screenshot nya sa phone), sabi ng WExpress ay mas updated daw yung sa kanila na kahit daw family visit kailangan pa rin ng invitation letter. Wala akong makita sa ibang site na requirement nga yon sa family visit para sa visa stamping. Anyway po para lang sure din eh nag prepare na lang yung kasamahan ko sa trabaho ng invitation letter, di nya lang sure kung tama ang format na nagawa nya baka kasi may iba pang requirements. Ah ok so ang sponsor is father. Usually po dpaat wala na invitation letter kasi po di ba bat naman iinvite pa yung member of the family unless po minor. Yes po dyan nga po ako nag email. Gusto ko po sana iattached yung screenshot ng mail delivery subsystem kaso hindi permissible sa comment window, pero iquote ko na lang:

Ano po maximum days ng process ng stamping? Including weekends po ba yun? Dumating kasi working visa ko nung Oct 15 then pinag PDOS na ako. Kaso until now wala pa rin update from my agency regarding sa visa stamping and OEC.
anung branches po nag accept ng visa stamping within Mandaluyong or QC po? di po kasi matawagan mga numbers na posted sa website. salamat po.

Wala naman expiration po sa pagkakaalam ko. Once na stamped valid sya except if ung docs mismo e need ng renewal.

Hi. I just went to Makati today and Will come back tomorrow. The requirements has been updated for Family/Personal they now reauire Letter of invitation from sponsor. Hello po. While gustung gusto ko po makatulong pero i must admit that may limitations din po ang alam ko pero susubukan natin. Yung blog ko po ay about sa visa stamping pero about or Embassy rules, hindi ko na po sya kayang sagutin. Pero ganun pa man, sana makatulong po ito. Yung medical po kasi sa Phils local requirement lang po sya para masure bago umalis na fit to work kasi iba pa rin naman ang medical dito sa Qatar. If di po kayo fit to work dyan, means its a suggestion to secure second opinion or to seek medication po. Kasi importante pa rin po yung health ninyo more than anything. Baka din po pagdating nyo dito e magkaproblema din po kayo even if sinasabi nyo na same company kayo at di na kayo mag-a-undergo ng medical. Di nyo lang din po kasi nabanggit bat ko kayo nagpapamedical dyan sa Pinas kung for stamping po ba ng visa? Kasi if yan po reason, pwede naman po ninyo iconsider yung ibang way para makapunta sa Qatar – im sure familiar na po kayo if via HK etc.

If ever na mag cross country ako, let us say Manila-Thailand then Thailand to Qatar, hahanapan po ba ako ng visa sa Thailand airport going to Qatar? mag tourist lang kasi gawin ko

…like others do na mag tourist sa isang bansa as point of entry then to Qatar for work pero ang kinuha ay Qatar tourist visa lang.

basta po you have a visa to Qatar say TOURIST VISA, makakapasok po kau dito. The thing is if maghahanap kau ng work dito medyo mahirap po. kasi from here palang andami na pong naghahanap ng work kaya i suggest magtry na muna kau magonline application and see if me response po sa inyo kahit by email. madami po kasing company dito hindi na rin tumatanggap ng walkin. This plan is good if me sure kaung papasukan sana.
follow up ko po, if ever complete documents na ako from tourist visa and other requirements as a tourist, may possibility pa rin ba na ma offload sa Phil. Airport?

Hi ask ko lng po ilang days and process ng visa stamping kasi po pinadala nmin ung passport ng asawa ko last Dec 6 sa w express but until now nsa buacan prin ung documents hindi pa npapadala sa manila..sa Dec 18 n po ang flight nya.

Una po ang usual processing time dapat is 5 working days lang. Pero since provincial na ang classification baka po iba na ang timeline nila. Check nyo po sa mismong branch dyan sa Bulacan at sabihan nyo po ng case nyo. Hindi pi pwedeng magflight pag wala pa ang visa stamping. sorry but if they cant guarantee it baka need nyo po magparebook agad. nakalagay po un sa WEXPRESS na hindi po sila pwede irush dahil me flight date na… i understand you po but you need to call them asap if possible na makioagcoordinate sa wwepress main para mapush sila esp kung last week pa pala ninyo nasubmit then send nyo sila copy ng receipt.
Hi, you mentioned no need for stamping if you are coming from other countries outside PH. My flights has one stop going to Qatar, I will fly from Manila to Malaysia then Malaysia to Doha, is the no visa stamping covered by this one?
If it is just a connecting flight, youre still considered coming from Manila and wilk be required a visa even from Manila airport. This cant be discussed here further bawal po yun.

No idea po dito but it shouldnt take long. Usually kasi ang visa 3-5 days nakikita na po sa MOI system yung update. Depende rin po yan sa PRO nannagaayos ng papers nyo. Better po na icheck nyo din sa kanila kasi minsan po sa haba rin ng name hindi po talaga lahat naisasama. Kaya kelangan iexplain po talaga na yun ang name.

Usually po kasi ganun po ang case. Any difference sa name po natin could mean BIG THING po (pwedeng ibang tao/ibang identity). So nagiingat lang din sila. SO we have to also undrestand them. Sa mga ocntracts po kahit Maria and Ma. malaking bagay na po yun… kaya what i can suggest is to coordinate with the PRO here in Qatar and request baguhin yung name. Kasi dahil arabic po sila tinatamad na sila itranslate lahat pero hidni nila naiintindihan na mali yun. So pakiusapan na lang po talaga. Usually 2-3 days lang po yan tapos na.

Hello po. Basta ang importante po, naka stamp sa passport yung visa nya then yung affidavit of support usually po hinihingi. Pero minsan po depende sa immigration officer minsan po di naman hinahanap. Pero sa case nyo na spouse/asawa naman po pwedeng ireason yung affidavit of support kasi matik naman un sa mag-asawa. Kailangan lang po same surname at me proof like marriage contract etc. Pero para nalang sa peace of mind, kesa po magkaproblema sa flight (kasi di natin masabi sa airport immigration na makakaharap nya), better na po na magprovide. Pupunta lang po kau sa embassy at magfillup ng form then bayad at stamp labng po yun lang, hehehe. Then isend nyo lang po yung copy sa wife nyo para complete docs na sya. Sir I am a Filipino national and living on a spouse residence visa in Pakistan. I got a job offer from Qatar. What is the procedure to travel from Pakistan? Do I need to get medical and NBI clearance? If yes, is it going to be from Philippines embassy in Pakistan?
You just need a visa to Qatar. That’s it. Only those coming from the Philippines have requirements for visa stamping etc. NBI clearance and medical isnt required unless you will apply for work soon.
Also depend on your visa, you just have to prove how you are going to sustain/finance your stay. Example for tourist visa, where are you going to stay and they might ask your return ticket to Manila.

Sir tanong ko lang po may tourist visa na po kami ng anak ko at for stamping n lang. Kya lang po minor po ung anak ko 14 years old po. May kailangan p po b n requirement aside po sa binigy ninyo sa blog? Sabi kc po ng mga kakilala ko may dswd certificte at proof p po from school n kailangan. So far po wala naman nang requirement for visa stamping. Except sa immigration, baka hanapan lang kayo ng ibang docs na magpapatunay ng return (airticket and/or student ID), minsan po hinahanap nila ang affidavit of support pro kadalasan naman po depende rin sa imigration officer minsan wala naman hinahanap na basta stamped ang visa.
