YES! The biggest food festival in the land is back once again this March 2018! And judging from the preparations that I saw few nights prior to its grand opening, i can say it is going to be ONE BIG EVENT.

It’s QIFF Season 8 and Burger Festival Rolled Into One. The entire park, as in the upper and lower portions of Hotel Park near Sheraton Hotel will be literally transformed into a gigantic food park. Unlike in the past, you will surely need several trips during the 11 days of festivities in order to “fully cover” the event.
Two Performance Stage. I presume without looking at the program that one will be a dedicated cooking theater for sessions to be conducted by world class chefs: the likes of Wolfgang Puck and Masaharu Morimoto (in no particular order). Aside from that, even the giant screen for film showing will once again entertain the kids aduring the festival.
Investment on wooden benches, tables and uniformly designed kiosks. It’s like getting in to a big barn. Everywhere you will go, you know that massive work and investment was poured in to this event. And this just goes to show how dedicated the organizers are in bringing to the people one of the, if not THE BEST, food festival in the country.
No “Dinner in the Sky” this year? This will be re-confirmed soon but for now, there are no signs of any installations within the area.
QIFF2018: Indoor Events
Just like in the previous years, the QIFF or the Qatar International Food Festival is not only happening within the Hotel Park but also in many hotels and restaurants around the country.
For the entire month, all these participating restaurants will be serving a Special QIFF Menu. According to the official QIFF website, “everyone can delight in the best deals and enjoy set menus at mouthwatering rates from QR49 to QR99 only”.
More than 50 restaurants are part of #QIFF2018. Here are some of them in alphabetical order. Unfortunately, upon checking via phone, not all hotels are confirmed to be offering the QIFF Menus, even some of the notable hotels (the ones marked with **).
We haven’t checked the other restaurants but you may click the link of their social media accounts for more information on any special promotions that they will be offering during the event. List is available on the QIFF event website.

From March 15-25, the HOTEL PARK at Sheraton Grand Doha will once again play host to this mouth-watering event unlike any other. The daily schedules are as follows:
- Weekdays: 4pm-11pm
- Weekends: 4pm-1am
