STAYBRIDGE SUITES DOHA LUSAIL: Your Home Away From Home

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS. Cliche as it may sound, but… home is really not a place… but a feeling. And that feeling stays with you wherever you are. Even when you’re with your loved ones, or alone… you can still have that feeling of “home”.

It also helps if a particular place evokes the warmth that makes you feel welcome… and safe… and secure. It’s even better when you have everything you need within reach… things that beckons you home… which will tell you, it’s worth the stay.

During the first week of March, we were able to visit one of Lusail’s newest hotels – Staybridge Suites Doha Lusail, which is under the global hospitality brand called IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group). It is a modern “serviced-apartments” strategically located in the most ambitious and groundbreaking city development in Qatar – the LUSAIL CITY.

WELCOMING SPACES

At Staybridge Lusail, you will immediately notice that the design has been customized around the experience of home. They have a simple yet cozy lobby. The open setup specifically on the “breakfast room” is something very unique. It’s where everyone can gather in the morning and have a quick breakfast as if “you were just home”.

Aside from the long table, they also have an open pantry area where guests can grab some cold drinks from the fridge or have some bread or cereals for breakfast. There’s also a small buffet area for selected items and a resident chef is always stationed at the live cooking area every morning.

Lounge areas are also provided where friends can gather around for a quick chat… a sense of community that you usually see in stylish backpacker hostels in many touristy places around the world.

COMMON LAUNDRY AREA

The common area which is located on the second floor includes the swimming pool for adults and kids, a kids play area, fitness gym, separate changing rooms for ladies and gents, and a laundry room.

Yes! Aside from the laundry machines inside every suite, there’s also a common laundry area that guests and residents can use anytime. How cool is that?

FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN

Unlike regular hotels, the kitchen layout of Staybridge Lusail, especially those that we’ve visited (the 1 and 2 bedroom suites), is really very functional, spacious and fully-fitted for long-stay guests. You would be inspired to prepare home-cooked meals most of the time!

THE HOMELIKE COMFORTS OF THEIR SUITES

With a choice of either a city view or a sea view, each unit is spacious enough for small to medium size families.

They have a nice living area, a dining area, bedrooms fitted with comfortable linens, and a toilet with bathtub in it. The terrace even connects the bedroom and the living area… and that’s how spacious it is!

24 HOUR CONVENIENCE STORE

This, they say, is common in all Staybridge properties. A self-service counter for goods and small grocery items that’s also open for non-residents so you don’t need to go far to buy easy-to-prepare meals, snacks and any little things left at home. Great idea, right?
