In our first part of INSIDE QATAR’S BAKALA, we draw our inspiration from the popular Japanese conbinis (short for convenience stores) and highlighted the distinct qualities of these Middle Eastern neighborhood stores.

We also uploaded a vlog to capture our initial visit to the Bakala stores near our house. Here’s the link to our Youtube Channel: https://youtu.be/DrHl5f6CSkQ
In this second part, we would like to continue the journey by showing the unique QATARI CONBINI SNACKS that are available in these BAKALA stores. Snacks are usually past-time treats that also reflect the region’s culture and unique flavours.

Aside from the dry snacks, Qatar also boast of some cold treats and dairy items mostly loved by kids and those having sweet tooth.

This is not a sponsored post, but as resident of QATAR, we just want to share the kind of lifestyle that we have especially now that our movements are restricted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. People from different parts of the world would be interested to know the unique differences and similarities in terms of our convenience stores and our daily lifestyle. The above is not the complete list of Qatari snacks available in the market but we only showed a few that are readily available during our initial visit.
BEST LIFE QATAR will continue to showcase our amazing life here in Qatar both as reference for existing expats and for those who are planning to travel or work here in Qatar.
