To all the nominees, thank you for believing in our cause to promote FILIPINO COMPANIES AND RESTAURANTS here in Qatar. In the process, we are also tapping the international market through our social media postings and further arousing the PINOY PRIDE of our kabayans here in Qatar. To those who helped us in campaigning for this project, we appreciate you! Thank you also for assisting us during the quick shoot with our team. Sadly, due to the ongoing restrictions, our scheduled meet-ups were put on hold, for now. But we will definitely do that… very soon!
And of course to everyone who voted, MARAMING SALAMAT po. With a total of 1,671 online votes for 32 days of voting period, this is more than double the size of our respondents from last year (around 700 votes in 2020). We’ve set an ambitious target of 2,021 this year (you know, the year – hehehe) and we’re just 350 votes away from it – that’s 83% accomplishments. And we couldn’t be any happier.
There were lots of challenges leading to the announcement of the results in February 26: the bad weather condition weeks before that, death in the family (my grandmother – who raised me from childhood died and we couldn’t even go to the Philippines), and some technical difficulties. However, we’re braver than we could ever imagine – especially with the support and encouragement of our family and friends.

Side notes prior to the Youtube Premiere in Feb 26: At 9AM I’m still rendering the final video version after it crashed several times (some of the changes we’rent saved including most of the audio enhancements, thus the erratic audio on some parts). At 11AM still uploading on Youtube. Gladly it only took 30 minutes and WALLAH! Youtube Premiere was scheduled right on time, at 12:00n that day. Super happy I did not break my promise to my readers.

Honestly, this is one of the most intricate vlog that I’ve prepared so far. Involving more than 20 companies, shooting on 5 locations all alone on a windy day just for the segment intro, and hours of editing… far from perfect, but still happy to be able to pull off a mammoth task. Acknowledging the room for improvements in these video, we are also happy and proud for the support of friends in making this very special and level-up virtual presentation. ENJOY!
