On a rare special occasion, we are very delighted to be invited by the Indian community in Qatar through the Indian Sports Centre to witness the launch of a Football Fan Song by Padma Bhushan Mohanlal on 30th October 2022 at the Grand Hyatt Doha.
Mr. Mohanlal is a very popular, most loved actor and singer from Kerala. His latest song features his hometown’s love and passion for football, which he says whose love for this sport is “inherent to its people”.
“For fans around the world, football is not just a sport, it’s an emotion. From hope to despair, joy to sadness, jubilation to despondency, excitement to indifference, suspense to relief,” Mr. Mohanlal said in his opening speech during the unveiling ceremony of the tribute song.
“Hailing from the state of Kerala which loves football, I feel this is the time and place for me to introduce you all to Mallapuram and its endearing and encompassing passion for football. This is a place which breathes football. They have made football their life and their passion for the same is second to none in the world. “
These words are very evident in the beautifully created music video produced by Antony Perumbavoor, directed by: TK Rajeev Kumar, under Aashirvad Cinemas. Like many of our well-loved Indian movies that really immersed us to the lifestyle and culture of the country, this Tribute To World Cup Football, Qatar 2022 MV is a festive celebration, an entire village’s testament of love and passion for the sport of football.
Local and international fans of Mr. Mohanlal also watched the MV launch on the Youtube channel of Aashirvad Cinemas and also on the Facebook Livestream of Radio Suno, and showered the beloved actor with love and support for this latest project.
The launch event held at the Grand Hyatt Doha was organized by Indian Sports Centre in partnership with Radio Suno, and attended by prominent personalities from the Supreme Committee and Legacy, distinguished guests, sponsors, community members, and social media influencers.
Indian Sports Centre (ISC) under the aegis of the Indian Embassy is an Apex body functioning to
represent the sportive interests of the Indian diaspora in the State of Qatar and also to express
their community support to the host country in National and International Sporting events for
the upcoming FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022.
