Those who have been to GEORGIA (a popular European tourist destination for many Doha-expats) must have missed the food and must be eager to revisit soon. Fret not! There’s a place you can hang out to at AL MIRQAB BOUTIQUE HOTEL in SOUQ WAQIF for a nice breakfast or cozy dinner that serves authentic Georgian cuisine. Al Terrace Georgian Cuisine is the first Georgian restaurant in Doha that will surely be a nice place to rekindle your beautiful travel memories while enjoying a nice cup of tea and your favorite Khachapuri, Khinkali, Mtsvadi, and more.
We were welcomed by head chef Pradeep Kumar and his assistant, chef Davit from Georgia (not seen on photo), who personally presented to us some of their best selling starters – PKHALI TRIO, KHARCHO soup, and Georgian signature dishes like KHINKALI (almost like Chinese soup dumplings), and KATCHAPURI (oven baked dough) varieties.

Then came their main course like KHARCHO STEW (stew with rice, one in black bowl), CHAKAPULI (lamb, one in blue plate), and grilled CHICKEN SHISH KEBAB with some Georgian bread. It was a nice spread… delicious and filling. Finished it off with their Georgian Honey cake, Alubliz Gvezeli (cherries, lime & meringue) as we unwind to get ready for an after meal stroll.
We are very delighted to have Chef Niño Logarta who really took time right after his live radio guesting that day. Chef Niño is one of the most popular celebrity Chef’s in the Philippines who have hosted several TV shows like Ka-Toque: Lutong Barkada and Sarap at Home in GMA7, among many others. He was also the first Filipino celebrity chef who took part in the 2018 Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF). Very humble and full of wisdom, we were able to talk about lots of things and he even gave some content suggestions that we could work on during his stay in Doha. He also have a Youtube channel – Chef Niño Logarta where you can check out his take on some of our favorite dishes.
AL TERRACE GEORGIAN CUISINE is located at Al Mirqab Boutique Hotel in Souq Waqif. They are open daily from 9:30am to 11:30pm and also available via Snoonu delivery app.
