Under the patronage of H.E. Sheik Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Commerce for the State of Qatar, the second annual global hospitality and horeca show of Qatar took place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center last October 18-20, 2016.
There were lots of food-arts on display. You can feast your eyes in so many things edible but are better shared on instagram.
Different companies and businesses from other countries not only in Qatar were offering new products from beddings, curtains, kitchen appliances, dinner wares, food stuff, etc.
Several skills competitions featured many Filipino craftsmen. Especially during last night’s Ice Carving Competition, an all-Filipino competitors representing different companies and hotels were seen showcasing their world-class talents. Definitely a proud moment for Filipinos.
And the highlight of the event (for me) was definitely the free food tasting. Went out full, satisfied, and even had some for takehome.
Due to busy schedules and some hesitations of going alone since kids weren’t allowed, i almost missed this event which i only managed to visit on its last day. Although not dressed-up properly for the occasion, i took the last opportunity to be able to witness the future of Qatar Hospitality Industry. Thumbs up to the organizers – IFP Qatar, and to all the exhibitors and their talented crews. These photos alone do not do justice to the fun and excitement of this colorful event.
